Advice for planning visits

Schools can make a Faraday Engineer visit request via the website. A suitable Faraday Engineer will be identified by IET staff and requested to contact the teacher to make the necessary arrangements.

You can negotiate the length and structure of your visit when arranging the details with your contact teacher in each school.

The length of your visit will partly depend on the time that you are able to give to the school but will be largely dictated by the school’s timetable.

You may find that you are invited to address a large group of students in an Assembly or work with a smaller class group within a lesson. We would like you to be accommodating as possible and work with whatever size group of students or time slot the school requests.
