Resources for teachers and students
The IET provides a wide range of support materials for teachers of science, design and technology, ICT and careers. The main resources are:
- the Faraday programme of online activities and materials
- Electronics Education, a free termly magazine sent to all UK secondary schools
- a series of curriculum support posters.
- a programme of professional development training delivered via the Electronics in Schools Strategy programme
- a programme of local activities which support the delivery of science, technology, engineering and maths
The following resources and activities are provided for school students:
- the opportunity to participate in the challenges and quizzes included in the Faraday 08 programme
- Flipside
, a magazine developed for the teenage audience - Make Your Choice, a careers booklet for the 13-18 age group
- the opportunity to apply for a number of valuable undergraduate scholarships
