Resources for teachers and students

The IET provides a wide range of support materials for teachers of science, design and technology, ICT and careers. The main resources are:

  • the Faraday programme of online activities and materials
  • Electronics Education, a free termly magazine sent to all UK secondary schools
  • a series of curriculum support posters.
  • a programme of professional development training delivered via the Electronics in Schools Strategy programme
  • a programme of local activities which support the delivery of science, technology, engineering and maths

The following resources and activities are provided for school students:

  • the opportunity to participate in the challenges and quizzes included in the Faraday 08 programme
  • Flipside new window, a magazine developed for the teenage audience
  • Make Your Choice, a careers booklet for the 13-18 age group
  • the opportunity to apply for a number of valuable undergraduate scholarships
