Here are some excerpts from the feedback we are receiving:

The tour of the ship was especially interesting and all the kids were grateful for being able to attend.
Many thanks from all of us who attended at Downend.
Downend School

The students found the day interesting and fun, it was well organized despite the chilly venue. The tours on the naval ships were fascinating and relevant.
I thought that the activities were brilliant for students to experience new developments in technology and engineering and see them in their wider sense.
Dorothy Stringer School

I thought the day was a fantastic chance to get to meet some of the key people who are shaping our future in terms of engineering and science. The venue was also a good choice for entry, exit and security (key when trying to convince a head master to let you take so many pupils).
Thankyou again for a wonderful opportunity and I look forward to applying for future events.
Priory School

The day was most enjoyable, and the feedback from the kids was very positive. They all had a good experience, and it has also made a lot of them start to consider Physics/Engineering as a career path.
All very well organized, and well done to you all for putting on such a well organized event.
Belmont School

What can I say? The whole experience was absolutely fantastic. Venue, organisation and the quality of the presentations and activities were spot on.
St Bede's Catholic Science College

I look forward to next years activity. I think this type of event is more preferential than the Faraday lecture - though a more local event would be preferable as the pupils were on coach for 5 hours.
Mangotsfield School

A well run event which we all enjoyed… I have had letters back from parents saying how impressed they have been by feedback they got from the kids at home and can they have more trips like this!
Amberfield School

Our pupil's enjoyed the day and everyone got something out of it, especially as it was the first visit to the science centre for some. The 'treasure hunt' on the science malls was a great way to challenge some of the brighter pupils, although we did feel some of the questions were quite tricky for S2 level!
The concepts behind the event were great, and illustrated how engineering spans all 3 sciences and applies them all in single devices. The whole event works nicely into the draft outcomes of A Curriculum for Excellence, and I'm sure it will continue to be popular.
St Margaret's Academy

The students enjoyed the day thoroughly. The splitting up of groups was a good idea as it allowed all students opportunities to mix which they probably wouldn't have done otherwise.
The timing of the day was very good, and it is hoped that we are successful in attending Faraday 09.
Springhill High School

I think the 2008 Faraday initiative is the best I have seen and the schools I've been involved with seem also to echo the sentiments. My congratulations to all who have been involved.

The FaraDay 08 was a stimulating day out for pupils, allowing them to see Science, Engineering and Maths outside of the classroom.
Howden School & Technology College

We had a fantastic day - the kids really enjoyed it - so did the teachers. I particularly enjoyed the Dragon's Den session, I thought that that gave them a real insight into the future. I thought that the idea behind the workshop activity was good.
I thought that the organisation was fantastic. You had clearly thought about the complexities of organising such a big event and the way you used the ushers was impressive.
If this is to be an annual event we'd definitely like to be back next year.
